A CANBERRA man has been charged after allegedly making more than 60 calls to triple-0, police say.
The 45-year-old man, from Turner in Canberra's inner north, had called police yesterday to report the assault of his former partner in Western Australia.

Police officers attended to the call, but the man continued to dial triple-0 more than 60 times even after being warned he could face criminal charges.

Officers eventually tracked the man to his home and caught him while he was still on the phone, police allege.

He was charged with improper use of an emergency call service and will front the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow.
